Hope Foundation has formed a partnership with an eye care center called Cox's Bazar Community Eye Hospital. This is an institution providing low-cost eye treatment and operations particularly aimed at helping the very poor of the community. Under the partnership agreement, the Eye Hospital doctors will run periodic health camps in all of the Hope Medical Centers (in 5 locations) and at Cox's Bazar Hospital for Women and Children. During the health camp, surgically correctable cataract cases will be selected from the poor and needy patients attending the camp.

Hope Medical Centers are located in rural areas with low provision of medical facilities and medical doctors. Doctors do not wish to open private practice in such areas due to
the distance from urban amenities and also because the local people cannot afford treatment. Therefore since the majority of people in these parts are very poor, the entire rural community lacks access to doctors and hospitals. In Bangladesh 80% of the population are rural dwellers, but over 80% of healthcare facilities and doctors live in the main cities. Hope Foundation decided to open rural clinics in these areas to bridge the gap in healthcare between the urban and rural population.

Hope Foundation aims to help the poor by bringing medicine to their doorstep and identifying diseases before they become untreatable. Project EyeHope will be a way to help the neglected rural population gain access to expert medical advice and surgery. Project EyeHope aims to provide vision to patients who are needlessly blind or near-blind due to cataracts.

Under the partnership, the Eye Hospital is offering complete surgery for the cost of $50 USD. Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh aims to provide sponsorship for each of these surgeries by a fundraising campaign from its donor base. At this time Hope Foundation aims to provide surgeries to 100 patients at a total cost of $5,000 USD.
